challenge #2 - "turnover" January 27, 2009

A day late! Sorry! Tony sent me a message telling me I am fired, and I think he is right.

With the cold and dark I have had trouble getting out to get new photos. Not a good excuse, I know. I think I may bring my camera to work tomorrow and see what happens.

The shot I had in my head when I proposed the theme "turnover" is one I would have taken downtown. Maybe I will snag it tomorrow and show you what I was thinking.

It's interesting that Tony thought I was "gunning" for an inauguration-themed photo. In all honesty, it truly never occured to me! Now that he said it, it seems obvious though. When I read the word "turnover" I think of things like turning under old infastructure in favor of new, or the seasons changing, or stuff like that.

This is my best attempt from within the confines of my condo to create a "turnover" themed photo. This is "generational turnover" if you will - the old (Julie) with the new (Wesley). I suppose as it concerns Wesley, "turnover" can also mean handing things over, like a kind of surrender!

I promise to be on time with the challenge next week and also to post something in the interim. Do you believe it?

Jeff, you're in his eye! That's so cool. I checked yesterday and was sad there was no post. Looking forward to "preparation"!

Nice grab! Wes' eye looks awesome- I love how much detail there is in his cornea. I can't wait to meet the little guy! I like how you can also tell how Julie is smiling in this pic- she smiles with her eyes.

Challenge for next week: 'preparation'.
