Another Coney Island shot. Guess I should post a little more background: I stopped in New York on my way to my Mom's in Philadelphia to see Tony and my sisters. Tony and I went on a photo expedition to Coney Island. We were foiled the day before by rain, and were late getting out the day we went, which ended up being fortunate - the scene with the clouds and setting sun ended up being pretty cool. Good thing we weren't there at any other time. I am editing on my laptop without the benefit of my full screen monitor at home, which is a new experience. Hopefully I am not totally messing it up. Also, I am having problems with the comment form for the first time... not really sure what the issue is. So if you are trying to comment and it is not working I apologize... hopefully I can get to the bottom of it by the end of break. |

jrd December 27, 2007 - 10:39am And Scott, in response to your post, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the sun having a brighter break-through? I actually turned up the contrast a lot on the clouds to try to add emphasis to the sunbeam. Here is the original for comparison. You think I should have even more contrast? jrd December 27, 2007 - 10:12am probably no one noticed, but i was having some problems with the comment form which i just fixed. it was an idiotically simple and stupid problem to fix... i am a terrible web designer. Rich's Fan Club December 25, 2007 - 11:26pm These last two shots have been really good. I especially like this one. I don't have an original to compare to, but is there a way to play up where the sun is peeking through that slot in the clouds? Although the birds are nice, I thinkit would be much more dramatic with a brighter break-through on the sunset. Oh yeah, and include Rich in the photo! | ||
